Thanks for the information about working there
Hmmm im surprised they don't have one already.
I love the food here, quality is hit or miss sometimes though....
Good burrito! Lady working the window was very nice! Thank you!
My mom has been coming here since she was a teenager and it has easily become my favorite burrito spot. Every time I am in the area, I get a no meat burrito. Over time, the burrito has gotten a lot more expensive, but it has still retained its delicious taste. When guests visit the bay area, I take them here before seeing any other sights, because El Faro's, in my eyes, is itself a site to see.
We love going here. Always a great welcoming atmosphere. Their burrito bowl with grilled chicken and grilled vegetables is my favorite 😋.
Excellent customer service and so much variety to choose from. Try the carne asada fries and you'll love it 🤗
El Faro has been a great go to eatery for decades. Quality Mexican food at decent prices with a friendly staff. It's always a special treat to dine here. They work so hard & give their best. I highly recommend this establishment for a great meal!
Great food!!! The breakfast burritos are outstanding, I love going to get them in my jammies, cause they have a drive through window,so I don't even have to get out of my car.
El Faro is a excellent restaurant I love their tacos I usually get about 4 because they're very filling love the quick-service and excellent taste in food
Consistently good. Breakfast burritos are really good.
I love this place..they make the best carnitas burritos...
I have been going to the original El Faros in the Mission area since high school... Something has changed with this one in SSF in this pass year. Cooks, food, something has changed, Maybe new family.? Pupusas should not be on the menu. 2 times now they were not good, Burritos have changed too....
Simply the best Mexican Cuisine in Northern California. I honestly would take an hour drive to get the Best burrito ever anywhere from this restaurant. I have been coming to this place since 1995! Yes, they've been around that long which should tell you that they have been totally consistent in the quality of their cuisine, service and integrity. Well worth the trip from anywhere!
Authentic Mexican restaurant, great place to get some fast food if you're graving for some maxican food
Not sure if super burritos have sour cream and avocado here but the last 5 times I’ve been here they haven’t given me any. Be safe and order the less expensive regular burrito. Or ask for a knife and cut your burrito in half to check if it has sour cream and avocado, since you’re paying for it.
Love this place since I was a little girl. Great burritos.
We love the food there. Always well prepared, hot, and delicious! Not greasy. Very convenient as they have a drive-thru. Friendly service. Takes credit cards. Large menu, and all kinds of drinks (including beer). Our favorite is the chicken enchilada dinner, which comes with rice, beans, chips, your choice of flour or corn tortillas, and hot salsa. Very filling and satisfying.
I have been going there for years and the food has consistently been good.
They deserve a 4 1/2. Love the drive thru option, generous portions, fresh ingredients, and their salsa (don't really care for the chips) is the bomb!
Food was really good and the service was nice. I'd definitely go there later also
Drive thru is convenient but not times than I can tell you I've gotten a burrito that was rolled the wrong way....ie. the meat is all on one end and other is all rice beans and cheese.
$9 dollar quesadilla? I was thinking it would be the best in the world; boy was I wrong!! No meat and little cheese. Next time I'll just make it myself! Never again! BTW the menu shown is outdated by 5 years. Just double the prices and then it will be accurate!
It's ok they should serve more food..
Horrible I ordered a shrimp burritoIt was very messy for a burrito full of juice the shrimp was not fresh nor was it's cooked well
Very nice people. Even I suffer from SSL=Spanish second language, they are always nice to the big black man. And best of all, its mostly smiles with great flavored foods.
Bad burrito rice a bit of beans liquid too much cheese to cover that there nothing inside but a bit of the meet you order hot sauce not hot. Never again Mexican only the name. Nothing like.
This is a mid peninsula tradition with great food!
Love the papusas. And their rice is good.
Great Food Love the Deive thru was super quick
First time there. I tried the carne asada regular burrito. The rice and black beans were very tasty. The meat had nice flavor but had a lot of stringy fat in it. The burrito was a large portion. The red and verde sauces were both good. The chips were homemade and free unlike most places now. I would go back if nearby and hungry. The pricing was $7 for a regular $8.50 for the super.
Locally owned, great service. Fast and delicious.
Killer food! And drive thru!!
The Veggie Burrito is a lifesaver. No one in their rational mind goes next door, to Taco Bell.Be with the good people.
Always the greatest food. We support them!!! My husband from new Mexico and puts a stamp of approval on this food!!
Never a disappointment. Burrito are huge and tasty. The owner is about 84 years old and very nice. I usually order super beef with jalapeno. The super nacho are excellent and should be eaten at the restaurant to prevent soggy chips. I will always be a returning customer
Pupusas no and tomorrow I'll try my burrito
Always enjoy eating El Faro food. Today I treated 4 of my buddies from work. They loved the carne asada burritos. Awesome food.
Watch closely as your order is made...today, a new person with whom I'm not familiar made my No Meat Burrito incorrectly, left out two of the more important ingredients in a No M.j eat Burrito: lettuce and tomatoes. I said "No Meat Burrito" at least three times, yet he didn't get it. He did fix my order after I told him what was missing, and ultimately, it tasted as good as always. Just watch your order, be sure you get what you asked & paid for.
Love the all meat burrito, one of the best in the area
El Faro's is hands down the best Mexican "fast food". The one in the Mission district was the original. Service is a little slow, and the food is sometimes too salty, but overall is is usually good.
I ordered 2 Super Burritos. Extremely salty, with no pico de gallo, avocado or guacamole, but filled with too much rice and beans.
Good Mexican food. Fast service and cheap. Has parking. Has drive through. 3 serving stations. Burritos are wet - so you might not like it if that is not your style. Perfect after hike destination.
I eat a lot of Mexican food this was not great at all. Ordered a Shrimp Burrito the Shrimp's were old and uncooked. The Burrito had way too much liquid very messy. I dont know what they put in their Burrito's but I've never seen anything like it.Very disappointing, Nice women at the window. Horrible food.
I order.from the drive..thru i order súper burrito when.i get to the window. Is ready when i Open me burrito is old and cole idont recomendé from drive thru.
I have always loved this place and always happy with my orders and quality of food. EXCEPT my last visit I ordered two HAPPY CHICKEN BURRITOS and sadly I could not eat them, too much jalapeño not enough chicken, rice, beans and fixing.I am used to jalapeño but NOT so much! Taste was terrible... I looked forward to these when I travel over 400 miles.
Watery burrito but wasn't terrible. I grew up on burritos from the mission. Not the best but its okay.
The shrimp burrito is awesome
Love it.Fast service and good food. Nice people.
The food is always good been coming here for years
Fast food and delicious Mexican food done right! Highly recommend the hard crispy tacos with ground beef, they come in a trio with cheese and lettuce. Ask for jalepeños and a side of sour cream (if you ask for it on the tacos, they will charge you triple, 1 for each taco!) Their burritos are huge ( >1 lb easy) so ask for a baby burrito (still a decent portion) if you want something smaller.
This is a nice local spot I visit frequently, being a resident of San Bruno. I like the regular burrito with carne asada, especially because it doesn’t include sour cream or cheese.
